Daily Life Talks: Sleep on the Plane, Not in the Airport

sleep

Last week my husband and I had to make a trip to my home state for a funeral in the family. The trip there was one of the worst I’d taken, and that’s saying a lot. The delays took their toll and all I wanted to do was sleep in the airport. But I got a download in my spirit that said “Sleep on the plane, not in the airport”. I knew exactly what that meant.

Sleeping in the airport will increase your chances of missing your flight. Good luck trying to get a rebooking after you explain that you missed your original flight because you fell asleep waiting at the gate. But if you sleep the whole flight, there’s no way the flight staff will let you stay on the plane once the flight is over. In life, there is a time to rest and disconnect from the hustle and bustle and to sleep. Then there is a time to be fully engaged and to see a thing through even if you a bitterly tired. If you don’t, you run the risk of getting left behind or losing all your hard work.

Promise yourself that you will no longer fall behind in life by disengaging at the wrong time. Sleep on the plane, not in the airport.
