Daily Life Talks: Keep Going

keep going

It’s hard to keep going when you should have seen results and there are none. But, sometimes things take longer than expected. Sometimes we missed certain requirements. Sometimes the requirements were carried out but not correctly. Whenever we don’t see results, we should always seek to find out if there was an area where we went wrong before we give up or start over.

Naturopathic doctors will tell you that the longer you’ve been sick with a chronic illness, you can expect a longer healing process than the standard timeframe. For example, if it takes 3-6 months to heal from your illness you can expect for your healing to occur in 12 – 18 months in some cases if you’ve been living with a chronic version of this illness for years or decades. It’s hard to keep going when you’ve been wrestling with something and you just want it to be healed, resolved or gone. So I want to encourage you today to not quit. You’re probably closer than you think. I know you may be in pain. You may be suffering. But look at how far you’ve come! You’ve come too far to turn around and the results will be well worth the struggle, tears and sacrifice.

Life experiences often prove that (unless it’s not wise) it’s easier to keep going than it is to start over. I know it’s hard to do this when there are no results. But do it anyways. And when you get there (to your healing, your goal or destination) reach back and encourage someone else who wants to give up.
