I know we live in a world that moves at the speed of light. Therefore, we have to move quickly in regards to certain opportunities and situations. But, sometimes your ability to act quickly depends on your ability to take moments to slow down and disconnect. It’s better to go at a slower pace and get it right, than it is to keep up the pace and leave behind errors and mistakes. You need to disconnect before you break your neck at lightning speed.
I think this is why vacations are so important for people who work hard and a lot. You need the time to recharge, re-imagine and re-inspire yourself. You cannot continue to drive a car without filling up the gas tank. If you do, you’ll be stranded on the side of the road calling AAA to come get you. Likewise, handle your mind, spirit, body and life in this way. Pull over and stop at the nearest place that fills you up. Then fill up before you break down on the highway of life.
