Recipes for Life: Roasted Brussel Sprouts

brussel sprouts

I’ve heard some people say that roasted is the only way to eat brussel sprouts. I say to each his own. However, the only way I enjoy Brussel Sprouts is roasted so if you don’t like yours steamed, try this recipe for roasted brussel sprouts.

1/4 cup olive oil

your choice of herbs and spices

1 pound of halved brussel sprouts

1: Prepare your brussel sprouts as you prefer in terms of cleaning. Cut them in half and set aside. Cut your oven on 400 degrees F.

2: In the pan that you will use to roast your brussel sprouts, mix the oil and all the herbs and spices so that the herbs and spices are mixed well into the oil.

3: Toss the brussel sprouts in the oil until each is fully coated with the oil.

4: Once your oven is fully heated, roast your brussel sprouts at 400 degrees F for 10-15 minutes. I like to roast mine until the leaves have some brown crisp on the tips only.

Serve hot!
