Summer Garden with Bush Beans in Containers
My husband particularly likes string beans so I decided to grow the bush variety. Just a few days ago, I noticed little pods that I thought were the beans sprouting out. I got so excited. But a day later I saw that one of them popped and out came a pretty pinkish flower. It was lovely to see, but a little disappointing.
I’m still experimenting with fertilizer and such. So far I’m using leftover coffee grounds from Starbucks and worm tea. They’re nice and bushy now but I suppose we’ll see if they have everything they need to produce some string beans.
